The story

I am Katie Veitch, an experienced and passionate book editor (writer, librarian and publisher) from Glasgow, Scotland. Following my BA in English Literature and Postgraduate studies in Librarianism and Archiving, I began ghostwriting historical fiction for digital publishers. After writing eight novels, I was asked to begin editing, and fell in love with the practice.

Having now worked with independent publishers and authors for four years, I decided to launch Veitch Editorial to reach clients and stories that speak to my interests, particularly those with working-class perspectives.

By working freelance and project-to-project, I am able to be flexible, client-driven in my timeline and package offerings, tailor pricing and focus to the books’ unique needs, and to work on projects I am deeply excited about.
